An Original New Immersive Event by Lost Room
Black Lotus is a Live Action Role Playing (LARP) event spanning an evening, night, and morning, crafted and directed by the creators of Lost Room, who have been organizing murder mystery parties and immersive events since 2016, exclusively for Palazzo Doglio.
This intense, original, and engaging experience will make participants feel like the protagonists of a mystery-thriller film or TV series, where anything can happen.
The goal is a live role-playing and strategy game: to forget one’s real life and embody a specific character, personally experiencing a story filled with secrets, mysteries, luxury, power plays, and, naturally, murders.
All while, of course, trying to survive until the end of the game.
The Story
On a surreal weekend in March, various guests find themselves sharing a stay in a 5-star hotel.
Each believes they are there for a specific reason: an intimate wedding, a family reunion, a corporate meeting to elect the new board of directors, a conference, or a romantic getaway.
Each of them has a secret.
Every secret impacts the lives of others and could completely change the course of the evening.
However, they don’t know that someone will surely die before dawn.
How This Experience Works
General Information
- Date: March 15 and 16, 2025
- Times: From 4:00 PM on March 15 to 12:00 PM on March 16
- Participants: 60 guests
- Location: Palazzo Doglio, Cagliari
- Sleep Time: During the experience, 7 hours of rest/sleep out of the game will be guaranteed (exclusively from 2:00 AM to 9:00 AM)
- Age Requirement: 18 years and older
Note: Black Lotus is an intense and immersive experience. Participants will encounter scenes that, depending on individual sensitivity, may be emotional or unsettling. This event does not include horror or terrifying scenes.
All situations will be realistic and involve interactions with other players and the Lost Room staff.
Preparation for the game will occur through content sent via email between January and February 2025. On March 15, after check-in and before the game begins, an introductory briefing and a workshop on character relationships are scheduled. Lost Room will manage the event’s direction and will always be on-site to ensure an enjoyable and engaging experience.

Additional drinks and hotel services (Spa, Massages…) can be purchased on-site.
Room assignments will be made based on bookings and for game purposes. Related characters will be assigned according to the reservation.
We are thrilled to offer the public a particularly innovative gaming event that, for the first time in our stories, includes an “in-game night” and lasts nearly 20 hours.
We began planning this event for Palazzo Doglio before the pandemic, and now is the right time to present it to the local and national public.
Black Lotus is an original story that pays homage to the series “The White Lotus” and “Black Mirror,” drawing inspiration from them to combine with the dynamics of the “locked-room mystery” from detective novels.
Black Lotus is a unique event that will be held only for one night and for a maximum of 60 players.
It’s not to be missed for those who have already participated in our murder mystery dinners and want to “level up,” and for those who want to take part in a grand immersive event, as in major cities.

How much does it cost?
280 euros per person
Since accommodations will be in double rooms, it’s necessary to book for at least 2 people and secure the room.
How should I dress?
The setting will be contemporary, and it’s necessary to have at least one change for an elegant dinner. Character sheets will be sent 15 days in advance so everyone can work on their dress code.
The most frequently asked question: if I’m killed, will I be eliminated and have to leave?
First of all, you should know that there is no designated victim, and murders always occur towards the end of the game. Black Lotus is designed so that player-on-player murders cannot happen before breakfast.
In any case, it will be possible for everyone to continue participating until the end of the game.
How can I participate?
To participate in the “Black Lotus” event, you need to fill out the form below to submit your booking request. Only two types of bookings are possible: for 2 people and for 4 people. You can request a gift voucher for Christmas. Once the form is completed, you will receive all payment instructions via WhatsApp at the provided number for advance payments through bank transfer. Character sheets for the protagonists will be sent by February 28, only when all players have provided the information for character assignment. To optimize this process, we kindly ask all protagonists to provide the information promptly once requested.
